“You know, as early as 20 years old, gusto ko nang magpakasal nang maaga,” he says. “I’m 25 now, but I’ve realized I still have a lot of things to fix before we even think of settling down. Basta we’re very happy as of now.”
Doesn’t he get annoyed when the press keeps on asking him about Sarah and his lovelife? “I guess it cannot be helped. It comes with the territory.”
Is he in good terms now with Sarah’s parents? “Okay ang relationship ko with her parents. I have so much respect for them. I care for this relationship so much and I really want to keep it, so I wish tigilan na sana ang questions about her parents kasi wala namang issue. ”
He adds that everything in his life is actually working smoothly. “Basta masaya ako na maraming magagandang nangyayari sa buhay ko ngayon, sa personal life ko, with my relationship, with my work. I have a new TV show, ito ngang ‘Single/Single’ and the concert we did in Music Museum, ‘Dreamboys’, was a hit. I also just finished a new action movie, ‘Tupang Ligaw’. Lahat, positive lang.”

The show is written by Palanca winner Lilit Reyes and directed by indie filmmaker Pepe Diokno (“Enkwentro”, “Above the Clouds”), with Cinema One best supporting actress Anna Luna (for “Bendor”) as Shaina’s career-driven buddy and theatre actor Brian Sy as Shaina’s gay best friend. Mara Lopez and Matt Daclan will also play supporting roles. The trendsetting “Single/Single” will be shown every Saturday at 8 PM on CInema One (Skycable Ch. 56) for 13 weeks, starting August 29, with replays on Wednesdays at 8:30 PM and Sundays at 10PM.
