IT WAS reported in Pilipino Star Ngayon last Sunday that character actor Paquito Diaz passed away on February 26. “Showbiz Central” later refuted this in their interview with Cheska Diaz, eldest daughter of the well known contravida. “We were shocked about the news that he’s dead,” said Cheska. “The truth is he got better three days ago. Nakalabas na siya ng ICU and is now in a regular room. He’s due to be discharged from the hospital by Tuesday.” She thanked GMA-7 for offering financial assistance to their family. According to PSN Entertainment Editor Salve Asis, her source was very reliable so she reported Paquito’s alleged passing, which turned out to be a case of “kuryente”.
