SOPHIE ALBERT ONE OF THE MOST BASHED STARS TODAY BECAUSE OF HER ROLE AS REIGN IN 'BIHAG'

SOPHIE ALBERT plays a vicious contravida named Reign in the hit afternoon soap, “Bihag”, and she says she’s now getting bashed with hate messages like never before because of her role.

“But I cannot blame the haters kasi bad person talaga yung character ko,” she says. “I wrecked the home of Jason Abalos as Brylle kasi na-obsessed ako sa kanya at gusto ko siyang agawin sa misis niyang si Max Collins as Jessie. And on top of that, ako rin pala ang dumukot sa anak nila.”

She had a catfight scene with Max and they’re so happy that it got more than a million views.  It looked so realistic and it seemed they really hurt each other.

“Oh yes, we did!” she says. After each take, we say sorry to each other.”

Does she feel bad that she’s being bashed as Reign? “Noong simula, hindi pa. Pero now, pinepersonal nila ako sa social media. Dun sa taping namin, may grupo pang nagpunta sa set at sabi sa staff, ilabas nyo yang kontrabida at sasabunutan namin. So I try to explain myself, mabait po ako in real life. I’m just playing a role.

About her relationship with Vin Abrenica, she was very vocal in professing her love for him when Vin celebrated his birthday a couple of weeks ago. Boy Abunda read her written message for him on air and Vin was so touched he even cried tears of joy. Do we hear wedding bells ringing for them anytime soon?

“Ay, wala pang ganun. We’re both busy with work. At ang pag-aasawa, pinaghahandaan yan and we’re both not yet ready at this point. Trabaho muna.”
