Heart Evangelista Adopts A Stray Kitten, Will Start 2019 As Judge In The Latest Edition Of 'Starstruck'

HEART EVANGELISTA says 2018 has been a good year but she’s hoping the new one 2019 will be even better. She has just signed up to be managed by GMA Artist Center and her first project for 2019 is to be a judge in the upcoming latest edition of the Artista search called Starstruck. “I’m really excited that GMA trusted me to be one of the judges,” she says. “I’d be more than glad to help discover new stars. I think I know how to detect that special spark called star quality to know which of the contestants have great possibility of making it in showbiz. It’s not just how you look, but that incandescent something called X factor that will determine whether you’ll be a big star or not.” An animal rights advocate, Heart recently saved a stray cat while she was jogging a couple of mornings ago. “I saw the kitten wandering aimlessly and when I picked it up, sumama agad sa akin,” she says.

“It broke my heart that she didn’t have a place to go home to. I called her Linger, so everyone, meet Linger,” she wrote on her social media account with a photo of her new cat. She encourages people to adopt lost pets and give them a loving home. Heart says they could get in touch with the Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS). “Just as the sketched heart on my shirt is stitched back together, so is my heart. It was immediately broken upon seeing her initial state, but seeing her now safe and sound is helping my heart feel better little by little. Let's give Linger a loving home. She’ll soon be busy help her husband Sen. Chiz Escudero to campaign in the 2019 elections as governor of their home province, Sorsogon.
