Sunshine Dizon Obviously A GMA Favorite, Now Doing A Film, 'Rainbow Sunset', For The Metro-Manila Filmfest

SUNSHINE DIZON is obviously so well loved by GMA management. After her last regular soap, “Ika-6 Utos”, ended, she was quickly added to the cast of “Kambal Karibal” as the mother of Kyline Alcantara. And after that ended, she was then added to the cast of “Inday Will Always Love You” as Martina, who helps Manilyn Reynes get back all her properties stolen from her by Gladys Reyes.

“Inday Will Always Love You” is ending this Friday and we won’t be surprised if she quickly gets another assignment. Well, we can’t blame GMA as Sunshine is really such a competent actress who is quite believable in any role assigned to her.

While waiting for her next regular soap, Sunshine is in the cast of a new movie intended for the Metro-Manila Filmfest, “Rainbow Sunset”, where she plays the youngest daughter of veteran actors Eddie Garcia and Gloria Romero, with Tirso Cruz III and Aiko Melendez as her siblings, directed by Joel Lamangan. “It’s a formidable cast and really great to work with such a good cast,” she says. “Sana, matanggap kaming entry sa Metro filmfest this coming December.”

Soon, she will reunite with the original stars of the first “Encantadia” that include Iza Calzado, Diana Zubiri and Karylle Yuzon. They will be producing their own film for their own film company, Sanggre Production, directed by their original director, Mark Reyes.

Sunshine has also gone into business and has put up her own nail salon in Mandaluyong where they hire TESDA graduates. “My two kids are growing up fast, so I should really work hard in preparation for their studies,” she says. “Lalo na kapag nag-college na sila, kailangang nakapag-ipon na ako for their higher education.”
