Solenn Heussaff And Paolo Ballesteros Talk About What They Envy In Each Other While Shooting 'My 2 Mommies"

SOLENN HEUSSAFF and Paolo Ballesteros both say they became good friends while shooting their movie “My 2 Mommies” for Direk Eric Quizon. “It’s not really our first time together since I was once a host in ‘Eat Bulaga’,” says Solenn. “So doon pa lang, naging friends na rin kami.”

“And she has never changed,” says Paolo. “Even then, she’s punctual, very professional. Walang arte sa katawan. She does her own make up kahit nakaupo lang siya sa sahig. But hosting job yun. Ngayon ko lang siya nakasama sa acting and I’m really impressed kasi ang galing-galing niya. Effortless sa harap ng camera.”

“Si Paolo rin naman, amazing to work with, like his make up transformations na ang husay talaga,” says Solenn. “He gets along fine with everybody on the set. Basically, he’s very quiet, but when he faces the camera, ang galing niya. Natural din ang style ng acting niya. It helped that we did a workshop with Direk Eric before shooting started kaya comfortable na kami talaga with one another.”

“It also helps that we have lots of things in common,” adds Pao. “Pareho kaming beauty, di ba? Pareho rin kaming lukaret. And both of us paint. I’m proud that she has had one-woman exhibits of her works and inggit ako kasi gusto ko ring gawin yun.”

What else does Solenn have that he is envious of? “Yung husband niya, si Nico (Bolzico.) Sana ipahiram niya.”

“Ako naman, I envy his comic talent kasi inborn ‘yun, e,” says Solenn. “He makes adlibs, delivers punchlines effortlessly at talagang nakakatawa lagi.”

In “My 2 Mommies”, Paolo is Manu while Solenn is Monique. They had a brief affair without Solenn knowing that Paolo is really gay. Solenn leaves for Europe without knowing she’s already pregnant and she doesn’t inform Paolo about it. Years later, she returns to Manila and introduces their son, played by precious child actor Marcus Cabais, to Pao who is so surprised that he fathered his own son. “By that time, out na akong gay kaya hindi na ako ang father ng anak namin,” says Paolo. “Kami na ni Solenn ang kanyang ‘My 2 Mommies’. The film is both hilarious and touching so you shouldn’t miss it.”
