Mother Lily Monteverde Hosts Victory Party For The Huge Success Of 'My 2 Mommies', Still Extended In Several Theatres

SOLENN HEUSSAFF is happy with the huge success at the box office of her movie with Paolo Ballesteros, “My 2 Mommies”. It’s a certified hit and Mother Lily Monteverde hosted a victory party at Valencia Events Place to celebrate the success of the endearing family comedy. Solenn also got very positive reviews for her very relaxed performance of a young woman who shares her love child with the boy’s biological father then later regrets it.

“We really want to thank all the viewers who went to see our movie,” she says. “I watched it in a theater and very positive talaga ang reaction ng mga tao while they were watching. Tawanan sila nang tawanan kaya nakakatuwa. I also want to thank all the people I worked with in this movie, from Direk Eric to my co-stars and all the crew members. Ang saya-saya naming lahat while shooting the movie. Ang gaan-gaan lang ng trabaho sa set.”

We’re happy for Paolo that he finally has another hit after “Die Beautiful” after his two followup flicks, “D Wonder Beki” and “Amnesia Love” suffered at the tills. We’re also happy for Eric Quizon as this is his comeback flick in directing movies and Mother Lily now has tied him up to a contract. His next assignment is another family comedy, “Widow/Widower”, with Maricel Soriano and a comeback flick for Ruffa Gutierrez, Aiko Melendez and Carmina Villaroel tentatively titled “Titas of Manila”.

“My 2 Mommies” got an A grade from the Cinema Evaluation Board and is on extended showing in several theaters. At the victory party, scriptwriter Joey Reyes and all the stars (including the supporting ones like Marcus Cabais as the son Solenn and Paolo, Diane Medina as the sister of Pao and Joem Bascon as Pao’s lover) all came to celebrate.

Everyone was in a good mood, especially Mother Lily who happily proclaimed: “I’m rich again!” Roselle Monteverde said the movie was such a breeze to make because everyone cooperated so it was finished in no time at all, with no hitches whatsoever. Maricel Soriano said she really enjoyed making the movie for Regal and Mother Lily and is now raring to make a new movie again.
