“Actually, pagod at puyat ako when we taped it dahil kagagaling ko lang sa set ng ‘Sherlock Jr.’ but I accepted it kasi excited akong gumanap sa papel ng Hercules, na favorite ko kahit nung bata pa ako because of his super strength,” he says. “Also, I personally like ‘Daig ng Lola Ko’ as a show kasi it imparts good and important values to its viewers and I’m really happy to be a part of it.”
Some fans of his love team with Gabbi Garcia are mad because they feel that Lily, the character Gabbi played in “Sherlock Jr.”, was killed prematurely. The fans are angry with other celebrities being linked to them, like model Maureen Wroblewitz, Sohpie Albert who was a guest in ‘Sherlock Jr.’, Mikee Quintos and Starstruck discovery Arra San Agustin who are linked to Ruru, and also Khalil Ramos who’s linked to Gabbi.
But we heard Gabbi’s character was killed because GMA realized that their love team doesn’t really have that big a fan base to help make their show a real top rater. Our source also told us that the ratings of “Sherlock Jr.” was even much higher when Ruru’s leading lady was still Janine Gutierrez and the ratings dipped when the character she played was murdered. That’s when the GMA bosses realized that it would be better to build up Ruru on his own as a solo leading man and without a permanent ka-love team.
