Mark Herras Now Contravida In 'The Cure' Where The Lead Actress Is His Former Ka-Love Team Jennylyn Mercado

WE CAN’T HELP but laugh when some folks say that his sex video has helped boost the career of Mark Herras because he’s being talked about. If it did help his career, then he won’t be relegated to a contravida role in GMA-7’s new show, “The Cure”, that starts airing on April 30.

At the show’s presscon, it’s very obvious that the lead stars are Jennylyn Mercado and Tom Rodriguez. Mark just plays a supporting role along with LJ Reyes, Jaclyn Jose, Jay Manalo, etc. He’s a contravida to Arra San Agustin, who plays his sister, and her love affair with Ken Chan. Which is sad, since he and Jennylyn are the big winners of the very first Starstruck artista search 15 years ago.

Now, Jennylyn, who was his former leading lady as they did several movies and TV shows together in the past, is still up there, doing lead roles on the small and big screen, and here he is now just a major support her in their new TV show together, while the leading man is Tom Rodriguez who was discovered in the rival channel’s Pinoy Big Brother.

Looking at Mark, he’s still very much leading man material. His love affair with beauty queen Winwyn Marquez is a definite plus for him. But he did himself a disservice with all those tattooes he put on his body. It will limit the characters he can play. But let’s hope he can still somehow recover after playing a villain role in “The Cure”.
