Bea Binene & Sunshine Cruz Fight Over Benjamin Alves In 'Karibal Ko Ang Aking Ina'

BEA BINENE is elated that after “Mulawin”, she finally has a new assignment, “Karibal Ko ang Aking Ina”. Some quarters said she felt insecure because her leading man in “Mulawin” has already been given his new show, “Inday Will Always Love You” that pairs him with her rival, Barbie Forteza, but she denies this.

“GMA has always been supportive of my career so alam kong hindi naman nila ako pababayaan,” she says. “And I’m happy with ‘Karibal Ko ang Aking Ina’ kasi serious drama siya about mother-daughter relationships.”

Playing her mom in the new soap is Sunshine Cruz, who’s a balikbayan to GMA. She and her mom will be fighting over the attention of Benjamin Alves. Also in the cast are Zoren Legaspi, Bing Loyzaga and David Licauco, directed by Gil Tejada.

What can she say about the warnings of some writers that she should watch out because Sunshine Cruz has maintained her good looks and sexy figure and they might just look like sisters and not mother and daughter? “Totoo namang napakaganda at sexy ni Ms. Sunshine,” she admits. “Pero siempre, hindi naman tayo basta magpapatalbog. Ngayon pa lang, panay ang diet ko at workout para matiyak na hindi ako magpapahuli sa kanya sa show pag magkasama na kami sa harap ng kamera.”
