James Reid And Nadine Lustre Say Their New Film, 'Never Not Love You', Is The Most Mature, Most Intimate Movie They've Ever Made

JAMES REID and Nadine Lustre have been a couple for three years now and they admit it was a great learning experience for them. “We both learned a lot from it,” says Nadine. “Maraming binago sa pagkatao namin ang love namin for each other. I can really say that my life and I changed for the better, especially when it comes to accepting each other just as we are.”

And how is it for James? “For me, compared to my past relationships, I felt a different kind of love for Nadine. We helped each other grow and I’d say that I’ve grown a lot as a person.”

Nadine adds: “There are different kinds of love. May love for family, for friends, may romantic love for someone you really love. For me, yung love namin ni James, maganda talaga ang naidulot sa akin kasi nagbago ako for the better. The love I received from James really made me a better person.”

“What’s nice is we started as friends and that’s a very good foundation,” says James. “It’s not just something passionate and crazy or spur of the moment but something that grew as we worked together. At this point, we can really say that the title of our new movie, ‘Never Not Love You’, can apply to us.”

The trailer of “Never Not Love You”, which opens on Black Saturday, shows them engaging in some very passionate kissing scenes. Didn’t they have any qualms doing these intense scenes for the camera? “We have to level up in this movie kasi it’s about the serious topic of living in and the very personal choices that we make,” says Nadine. “Ngayon lang namin talaga ginawa ang ganito ka-intimate na mga eksena and we’re confident that our director, Antoinette Jadaone, gave it just the right treatment. Viewers will really feel the sincerity of the emotions that our characters go through in the story and we’re sure it will all be a very memorable viewing experience for them.”
