Vitto Marquez, Son Of Joey Marquez & Alma Moreno, Introduced As An FBois In Viva's Youth Flick, 'Squad Goals', Says He's Not A Ladies' Man Like His Dad

VIVA FILMS’ new discoveries called FBois are creating quite a stir since they were introduced in a presscon for the movie “Squad Goals” last Tuesday. One of them is Vitto Marquez, 22, who has quite an impressive pedigree to make it in showbiz as his parents are both actors, Joey Marquez and Alma Moreno.

Alma said she was surprised when Vitto told her he’d audition for Hashtags and was later launched as one of its members in “Showtime”. “Nagulat ako kasi he used to be very shy,” she adds. “Akala ko, walang hilig sa showbiz pero ngayon, na-build up na ang confidence niya lalo’t ilo-lauch pa siya ng Viva.”

Is Vitto also a playboy like his Daddy Joey who’s a bonafide ladies’ man? “Well, tatay ko mismo ang nagsabi, career muna at pag-aaral bago ang lahat,” he says. “So, iwas muna po ako sa lovelife kasi gusto kong ipakita sa tatay ko na kaya kong unahin ang career and studies. After maging successful ka na sa career mo, doon ka na maghanap ng lovelife.”

What can he say about the blind items saying that two of his colleagues in Hashtags have gotten girls pregnant? “Wala naman ako sa posisyon para sagutin yan for them. All I can say is ka-batch ko yung mga natsitsismis and it’s not true na inalis na sila kasi part pa rin sila ng grupo. Mga kaibigan ko sila, pero I respect them, ni hindi ko sila tinatanong, at ayokong makialam diyan.”

In “Squad Goals”, he plays Tom and his story mirrors his real life. He’s the son of a former basketball player (which Joey is) and an actress (which Alma is.) As Tom, he’s taking up hotel and restaurant management and is also the captain ball of their school’s varsity team who’s been named MVP three times. In “Squad Goals”, he finds new friends in his co-stars: Julian Trono, Andrew Muhlach, Jack Reid and Daniel Husch. “Talagang barkada na kami ngayon and we treat each other like brothers,” he adds.
