Christian Bables, Mark Neumann & Jennica Garcia Topbill Cignal TV's Movie, 'That One Night', In Their Advocasine Series, Produced By Contentcows Of Wilma Galvante

CHRISTIAN BABLES, Mark Neumann and Jennica Garcia, along with Ariel Rivera and Gelli de Belen, star in the first movie offered by Cignal TV’s Advocasine series that deals with very valid issues like teen pregnancy, HIV-AIDS, bullying, depression and suicide. The movie is titled “That One Night”, which refers to that one unforgettable night that changes the lives of everyone in the story.

“It’s nice to be a part of an advocacy series that revolves on some of real issues that plague the youth of today,” says Christian. “Maraming makaka-relate sa movie namin dahil totoo lahat ng mga sitwasyong inilalarawan dito.”

Ironically, at a time in their lives when they should be reveling in energy, enthusiasm, opportunity and exhilaration, the youth are also subjected to a slew of problems and pressures brought about by modern day circumstances and technology. It’s for this reason that Cignal Entertainment is providing the venue for a series of TV-movies that will address timely and relevant issues through realistic yet creative storytelling. Produced by ContentCows Company of Wilma Galvante, the Advocasine series further validates Cignal’s mission of providing fresh content that is both of high quality, and equally responsive to Filipinos’ evolving tastes and demands.

“In our movie, the problem of HIV-AIDS as a sex-related teen issue is presented in a very relatable manner,” adds Jennica Garcia. “We’re proud ‘That One Night’ is a movie that empowers and educates the viewers and, at the same time, engages and entertains them from start to finish.”

“Each story featured in the Advocasine series will be thought-provoking but very engaging,” says Wilma Galvante of ContentCows. “Although it delivers a relevant message, it will not be preachy at all. As content creators, we know that film is a powerful and effective medium to convey positivity to everyone, most especially the youth, but it still has to entertain them first.”

She admits that dealing with controversial topics is a tricky matter. But years of experience in entertainment production and a sensitivity to the pulse of the audience helps her find the delicate balance. “Since our themes are already serious, we balance it by adding entertaining elements such as romance, quirky characters, and fascinating milieus that will catch the attention of all viewers.”

Cignal’s Guido Zaballero takes a positive and upbeat perspective on the series. “The Advocasine series is very much in keeping with Cignal's vision to offer shows that Filipinos crave for. We have the platform and the reach. It’s all about having the courage to take on challenging and edgy topics. And Cignal is all about content, courage, coverage and choice.”

“That One Night” will be shown this Saturday, December 9 at 12NN and 6:30PM, on Colours (Ch. 60 SD | 202 HD) and Sari Sari (Ch. 3), available on Cignal TV.
