She starts as a kontrabida to Kris Bernal as Nimfa but later, they will become friends and she becomes kontrabida to Rosette. But her boyfriend, James Blanco, returns as Eric and it turns out he’s just using her to get to Nimfa, with whom he’s secretly in love, so Vaness will be enemies with Nimfa again and befriends Nimfa’s nemesis once again, the wily Rosette.
We got to interview Vaness on the set of “Impostora” and she admitted to us that she’s getting married in February of next year. Her non-showbiz boyfriend of three years, Matt Kier, proposed to her while they were in Coron, Palawan last May to celebrate her birthday and she now sports the black and white diamond engagement ring he gave her.
“Napaiyak ako, kasi hindi ko talaga ine-expect,” she says. “Magkababata kasi kami sa Baguio. Our parents, dati nang magkakaibigan. But we lost touch when I joined showbiz. Yun pala, hinihingi niya ang number ko sa isang mutual friend namin. But my friend said, di puede, may boyfriend siya ngayon (Biboy Ramirez). Noong mag-break kami, binigay sa kanya ng friend ko yung number ko, saying, o ayan, puede mo na siyang tawagan, wala na siyang boyfriend. And so he did.”
Where will they have their wedding? “In Baguio, family members lang, small wedding lang. But before that, we intend to give a reception for our friends here in Manila para hindi na sila umakyat pa ng Baguio.”
Will they have kids right away? “I’m 29 and he’s 31 so we can wait pa. Balak namin, makabili muna kami ng sarili naming house dito sa Manila bago kami mag-start ng sarili naming family.”
