The Inclusion Of The Joshlia Love Team Will Help Boost The Chances Of The Sharon-Robin Comeback Movie At The Box Office

SHARON CUNETA’S comeback flick was first imagined to be with Gabby Concepcion, but since Gabby is so busy with GMA-7’s mammoth hit afternoon drama, “Ika-6 na Utos”, he doesn’t have time to shoot a new movie so it was reported that Sharon will instead be paired with Robin Padila, with whom she has done three films before when they were both still with Viva Films. This will be directed by certified hitmaker Cathy Garcia Molina.

We heard they have started shooting the movie. Robin has also started taping a new soap with Jodi Santamaria (who’ll be playing dual roles), but after a couple of days of taping, the project suddenly stopped and up to now, it has not resumed. Now, the latest news is that the young love team of Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto would be added into the cast of the yet untitled Sharon-Robin movie.

So what does that mean? That Star Cinema is not confident that Sharon and Robin alone might not be able to pull in the expected crowds inside the theaters. Well, we can’t blame them as we all know Sharon’s recent solo film, “Ang Pamilyang Hindi Lumuluha”, didn’t do as well as expected at the box office.

The same goes for Robin. His last three films also didn’t do great at the tills: “Bonifacio, Ang Unang Pangulo” and “10,000 Hours”, that even won awards in the 2014 and 2013 Metro Manila Film Festivals but didn’t yield spectacular results at the box office, ditto for his other film that his own company, RCP Productions, produced, “Sa Ngalan ng Ama, Ina at Mga Anak”, also shown in 2014.

So we shouldn’t be surprised if Star Cinema is being a segurista by adding Joshua and Julia in the cast of their comeback film. After all, the Joshlia tandem already has two box office hits to their credit, “Vince, Kath & James” and “Love You the Stars and Back”, that both went beyond the P100 million mark at the tills.

Some caring fans want to tell Sharon Cuneta to stop being so open and expressive in her social media accounts, posting nearly everything that happens in her life especially when she feels depressed.

“Kasi nawawala ang mystique niya, lalo na kapag nakikipagsagutan siya sa bashers,” says one concerned fan. “We think it’s one reason kaya hindi na pinanood ang last movie niya. Kasi lagi na lang siyang nagpo-post ng mga nangyayari sa buhay niya and doon na lang siya inaabangan ng mga tao. Recently, pinahiya pa niya ang anak niyang si KC sa publiko after Ai Ai shared na binigyan siya ng son niyang si Sancho ng pera he got from his earnings from a TV show. Sinulat ni Sharon na wala pang anak niyang gumagawa ng ganyan sa kanya, so she was reminded by netizens that KC gave her very expensive brand name bags.”
