“I’m really flattered kasi first big role ko ito in a movie,” she says. “I’ve done two movies before na bit roles lang ang ginagampanan ko. Unlike in ‘Spirit of the Glass 2’ where I play one of the leads. But I’m happier na very positive ang feedback sa movie, very effective daw in making the audience scream.”
“Spirit of the Glass 2, The Haunted” opens in theaters today. Some writers urge Ashley to join a beauty pageant as she’s tall, pretty and seems quite articulate. “Wala pa po yan sa plans ko kasi 18 lang ako. Maybe in a few years from now, I will consider it kasi marami ngang nagsasabing sumali raw ako.”
We ask her co-star in ‘Spirit of the Glass 2”, Bb. Pilipinas Universe 2016 Maxine Medina, if Ashley has the potential to be a beauty queen? “Of course, puedeng-puede si Ashley sa beauty pageant,” says Maxine. “She’s more than qualified. But tama siya, wait for a couple of more years so she’d mature a bit more. Sobrang sweet na bata nitong si Ashley kaya nagkasundo kami agad. Pareho kaming mahilig kumain kaya food buddies kami. Marami kami laging baon sa shooting, share kami at chikahan kami lagi sa aming tent.”
And what can Ashley say about working with Maxine? “I admit na noong una, intimidated ako, kasi beauty queen siya, e. Pero nawala agad yun kasi she turned out to be very approachable, very talented pa, at yun na nga, share kami sa mga baon namin sa set.”
Recently, Ashley threatened to sue some hackers who also hack her social media accounts. “Nakakainis kasi lagi nilang hina-hack ang instagram and twitter accounts ko and they seem to enjoy sa pagpo-pose ng messages na, kunwari, ako ang nagpadala. Buti na lang, naibalik na rin sa akin ang Instagram account ko kaya di na lang ako magdedemanda kasi hindi ko rin naman kilala yung hacker. But my Twitter account, nasa hacker pa rin at feel na feel niya ang pagiging ako. Sana mabawi ko na rin.”
