Make Way For A New Local Band With Original Songs, Agsunta Band

TALENT MANAGER Perry Lansigan is launching a new band from the College of Saint Benilde with members Jireh Singson (vocals/rhythm guitars), Mikel Arevalo (lead guitars/backup vocals), Josh Planas (bass/backup vocals), and Stephen Arevalo (drums) who are all taking up Music Production. They got the name of their band from their teacher, Agnes Asunta.

Their band gained a following after they posted on the net notable cover versions of OPM classics. To date, their Facebook page has amassed a following of more than 100,000 dedicated fans and followers.

Agsunta has also been known for their collaborations with other musicians. The most memorable are the times when an artist has to veer away from his usual style to adapt the sound of the band, resulting in a truly unique cover, like their own version of Gloc 9’s “Upuan”.

But they also write their own original tracks like “Patawad Na” and “Liwanag” which will be in the album they’re now recording for Star Music. “We want people to know that we write our own original songs,” the say.
