TV5 Airs The Most Exciting Action-Adventure TV Series From Hollywood Like 'The Flash', 'Arrow', 'Agents Of Shield', 'Quantico'

AS OF NOW, TV5 has very few local shows. Their most prominent local programs currently are “Lakbai”, a travel show hosted by Baste Duterte; “Brillante Mendoza Presents”, a monthly movie with a different theme each month from the Cannes award-winning filmmaker; and “Wattpad Presents”, a weekly romance based on Wattpad collection of stories. After they stopped making local soaps, TV5 focused their programming on Hollywood TV shows and they now have the most impressive line up of canned shows. Here are some of them, all action-packed thrillers:

“The Flash” - An action-fantasy about a superhero crimefighter who can move at superhuman speed. The lead character is Barry Allen (played by Grant Gustin), who saw his mother being murdered as a boy. During a thunderstorm, he is struck by lightning and goes into a coma. He wakes up later to discover he has gained superhuman speed and he uses his gifts to fight evildoers.

“Arrow” - Spoiled billionaire playboy Oliver Queen (played by Stephen Amell) goes missing at sea but returns home after many years of being stranded in a remote island where he underwent training to be a vigilante crimefighter using a bow and arrow.

“MARVEL’S Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D” - SHIELD stands for Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and LOgistic Division, a fictional peacekeeping and spy agency in the world of superheroes set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe or MCU. Its agents must deal with unusual cases and enemies, including Hydra and the Inhumans. It’s led by Clark Gregg as Director Phil Coulson. It also stars Ming Na Wen as Melinda May, ace pilot and weapons expert; Brett Dalton as Hive, a Hydra agent who infiltrates SHIELD; Chloe Bennet as Skye/Quake, an inhuman who is recruited as she can sense earthquakes; Iain de Caestecker as Leo Fitz, a specialist in weapons engineering; Elizabeth Henstridge as Jemma Simmons, a biochemist who specializes in human alien life forms; Nick Blood as Lance Hunter, a mercenary who joins SHIELD; Adrianne Palicki as Bobbi Morse, an agent of SHIELD who went undercover with Hydra and is Hunter’s ex-wife; and Luke Mitchell as Lincoln Campbell, an inhuman with the power to manipulate electrical charges.

“Quantico” - A drama thriller starring Indian actress Priyanka Chopra (the first South Asian to topbill an American TV series) as Alex Parrish, a new FBI recruit who becomes the prime suspect in a terrorist attack on Grand Central Terminal. It shows her training with other recruits at the FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia and later, the investigation about the attack where she has to clear her name.
