Ryza Cenon Leaves GMA Artist Center And Sign Up With Viva To Do Movies. Will Viva Success In Making Her A Big Movie Star?

RYZA CENON, female winner of Starstruck Batch 2 in 2004, just signed a management contract with Viva after being with GMA Network for ten years. It's said this is because of the influence of her current boyfriend, Pocholo Barretto, who's with Viva. But we can’t really blame her and Louise de los Reyes, who also left GMA for Viva just a couple of weeks ago. They say they want to do movies and GMA's film arm is currently inactive from doing full length flicks. This is the reason why big Kapuso stars like Dingdong Dantes and Jennylyn Mercado do movies with other companies like Star Cinema and Quantum Films.

With regard to Ryza's decision to leave GMA Artist Center, Gigi Santiago Lara, senior assistant vice president for alternative productions released an official statement: “Ryza Cenon is no longer being managed by GMA Artist Center. Though her management contract has expired early this year, she is still part of GMA’s very successful afternoon prime series ‘Ika-6 na Utos’, which has been extended several times already. We wish Ryza well in her future endeavors.”

If Viva would succeed in making Ryza a big movie star likes she hopes to happen, then we wouldn’t be surprised if other GMA homegrown stars would wish to follow in her footsteps.
