Barbie Forteza & Ken Chan To Do A Movie For Regal, 'This Time It Will Be Sweeter', After 'Meant To Be' Ends

BARBIE FORTEZA has bittersweet feelings for today is the start of the final week of “Meant to Be” that successfully ran on the air for six months and is a consistent top rater. Their last taping day is tomorrow, Tuesday, according to Director L.A. Madridejos and program manager Hazel Abonita. There are talks that they will go live on the air on their final telecast on Friday, June 23, for viewers to find out who won in the poll as to who will get Barbie as Billie’s heart in the end: Ken Chan, Ivan Dorschner, Jak Roberto or Addy Raj?

Barbie quickly adds that whoever the viewers would choose for her does not necessarily mean that he’s also her own personal choice? “Basta sa akin na lang yun,” she says.

Even her senior co-stars in the show, Manilyn Reynes, Tina Paner, Sheryl Cruz, Janno Gibbs and Keempee de Leon, have their own person choice for her. From what we see, though, the one with the most number of fans is the KenBie love team, Ken Chan and Barbie. This is evident in the mall shows they do where the crowd’s scream and squeals are the loudest when Ken joins Barbie on stage.

Barbie says that years from now, she will always look back at “Meant to Be” with much fondness in her heart. “Forever na itong magiging part ng history ko sa showbiz as one of the most memorable shows na ginawa ko kasi nag-enjoy talaga kaming lahat ng mga kasama ko habang ginagawa namin ito, both my co-stars and the staff.”

How will she remember her four leading men? Hahaha! But seriously, I’m proud of him kasi sobrang naging improvement ng acting niya from the time na nag-start kami up to now, six months later, na nahasa na siya nang husto sa harap ng kamera.”

What about Ivan who was the first to be linked to her when the show just started and people thought they’re closeness to each other is for real? “Close pa rin naman kami, a. Isa lang ang masasabi ko about Ivan, he’s the perfect leading man. I enjoyed working with him.”

And last but not the least, Ken. “Si Ken, I’ve worked with him for the longest time since ‘Tween Hearts’ na 15 pa lang ako. Tapos naging ka-love team ko na and I’m thankful kasi napakahusay niya. Best actor talaga!”

And the latest news about her and Ken is that they will start shooting their first movie together right after “Meant to Be”. This is titled “This Time Will Be Sweeter” and will be a co-production between Regal MultiMedia and GMA Films, to be directed by Joel Lamangan.
