DZBB Shows Now On GMA News TV Channel 11, Partners With Ritemed For Bringing In The News Everyday

GMA NETWORK’s top rating morning news and commentary radio program, “Dobol B sa News TV”, is now being shown simultaneously on GMA News TV Channel 11 since April 24 and the feedback from audiences is very positive and encouraging. You can also watch it abroad on GMA News TV International.

Present at their presscon at B Hotel were male anchors Mike Enriquez, Arnold Clavio and Joel Reyes Zobel. Ali Sotto failed to make it as she’s suffering from a bad cold. So what’s the difference now that they’re not just heard on radio but also seen on TV?

“Dati, kahit naka-shorts lang kami, puede na kami mag-report sa studio,” says Arnold. “Ngayon, we have to dress up. Di na puedeng basta T shirt, kailangan, shirt na may collar, to show our respect to our viewers.”

“But content wise, walang pagbabago,” says Mike. “Kung ano yung Dobol B sa radio, ganun din sa
TV, news that can be trusted, walang kinikilingan.”

We asked Ali about this privately and this is her reply: “I used to go to work in my shorts and T-shirt, without make up, sometimes even without having taken a shower! But now, I have to wake up at 4 AM so I can study, write my songs, and do my hair and make up, then drive to work. Arghhhh!!! God has other plans. Maybe He wants more people to enjoy the lighter side of the news and all we can do is submit.”

DZBB, GMA’s flagship AM radio station, bring the latest news and commentaries on “Saksi sa Dobol B”, “Super Balita sa Umaga Nationwide” and “Dobol A sa Dobol B”, Monday to Friday from 6 to 11 AM. In the presscon, they did some of the things they usually do in the show, like their intriguing “Sino” blind items and singing their satirical Santa Clara songs. “Dobol B” is aired in partnership with RiteMed Philippines, which has always believed in Dobol B’s credibility as a trusted source of news and information.

To formalize their meaningful partnership, Mike as Radio GMA President along with GMA VP for Radio Operation Glenn Allona signed a memorandum of agreement with RiteMed Gen. Mgr. Vincent Patrick Guerrero, who says they’re happy with DZBB’s foray on free TV as this will allow more Filipinos to know more about the latest news and information.

Mike, in turn, says they’ve always believed in RiteMed as an advocacy brand that makes sure even the poor can have access to quality medicines at reasonable prices. “Walang dahilan para maging sobrang mahal ang gamot and this advocacy of RiteMed is in line with GMA’s mandate of Serbisyong Totoo,” he adds.

Mr. Guerrero says their catchy jingle “Huwag Mahihiyang Magtanong” had a big impact on the public, especially when their brand ambassador, respected actress Susan Roces started singing it and people who go to drug stores to buy medicines ask the pharmacists while singing: “May RiteMed ba nito?” “Right now, RiteMed leads the total generics market by 62 percent,” he says. “We have a total of 140 products, mostly made in our own plant in Sta. Rosa, Laguna and this May, we are launching RiteMed for Kids.”
