Janine Gutierrez & Kris Bernal To Play Very Challenging Roles In GMA-7's New Shows For 2017

JANINE GUTIERREZ faces the most challenging role in her career as a blind lawyer in one of the first shows to start taping for 2017 at the Kapuso Network, “Legally Blind”. “Maganda nga ang pasok ng new year for me dahil may bago agad akong show,” she says. “At napakaganda pa ng role ko.”

She will play a law student who gets raped and brutally beaten up that she loses her eyesight. Despite her disability, she continues to pursue her law degree and becomes a bar topnotcher who will help oppressed people. For her role, she has to study how actual blind people behave and learn how read the Braille alphabet for the visually challenged.

She’ll also train with actual lawyers to familiarize herself with her role. We’re personally advising her to also watch good TV series about lawyers, notably our personal favorites, “The Good Wife” and “Suits”, and also “Daredevil”, where the hero is also a blind lawyer.

Another Kapuso star to have a challenging project for 2017 is Kris Bernal, who was earlier reported to plan to move to ABS-CBN. Obviously, her plan didn’t prosper and she’s now slated to do the remake of
“Impostora”, first shown by GMA-7 exactly ten years ago starring Sunshine Dizon in dual roles as twins where one is good and the other is evil. Kris is a good actress, as shown in her last soap, “Little Nanay”, and we have no doubt she can tackle the twin roles competently.
