Ronnie Alonte Of Hashtags Is One Lucky Newcomer Who Has Not Just One But Two Film Entries In The Metro-Manila Film Festival

RONNIE ALONTE turned 20 last October 26. He’s from Binan, Laguna and started as a dancer in Hashtags last year on “Showtime”. He has since appeared in several episodes of “Maalaala Mo Kaya”, including an episode that featured his own life story. His rise to stardom is definitely quite meteoric as he is now in two movies no less, and both are official entries in the Metro Manila Filmfest.

In Reality Entertainment’s scary horror flick, “Seklusyon”, he plays a young deacon who is being tempted by the devil so he will no longer pursue his vocation as a priest, directed by Erik Matti. And in Star Cinema’s “Vince & Kath & James”, he figures in a love triangle romantic-comedy with Julia Barretto and Joshua Garcia, directed by Theodore Boborol.

Sa ‘Vince & Kath’, sobrang kaba ko nung una kong makaeksena si Julia Barretto kasi she’s more experienced in acting at baka tarayan ako kapag nagkamali ako.

How about Joshua Garcia?

Joshua admitted this is true.

So which of his entries will Ronnie watch first? “Lahat naman po ng entries, papanoorin ko, not just my own movies.”

Will he be leaving Hashtags now that he’s into acting?

2016 really turned out to be a very good year for him. Now, he’s also included in the new teleserye, “A Love to Last” with Bea Alonzo and also, Julia Barretto. He also sings and has recorded his own debut single, “Love at Website”, for Star Music. He was even allegedly involved in a sex video scandal, but his fans doesn’t seem to mind this at all and they all continue to support him heartily.
