Jean Garcia Plays An Unfaithful Wife Who Has Affairs With Younger Men In 'The Escort' & 'Mano Po 7'

JEAN GARCIA has avoided doing love scenes during her younger days. “Hindi ko kasi talaga feel ang mga ganung eksena,” she says. “Nakakatawa nga kasi kung kailan lola na ako ngayong may anak na ang daughter kong si Jennica, heto’t magkasunod pa ang movies ko na may love scenes ako with younger men. First is with Derek Ramsay in ‘The Escort’ that opens today in theatres nationwide, then with Jake Cuenca in ‘Mano Po 7, Chinoy’ that’s an entry in the Metro-Manila filmfest. In both movies, unfaithful wife ang drama ko kasi hindi ako satisfied sa mga esposo ko, si Rommel Padilla in ‘The Escort’ and si Richard Yap in ‘Mano Po 7’.”

Her love scene with Derek in a swimming pool is very daring as she was obviously topless. “Yes, nag-panic ako when I was first told na may ganun akong eksena na dapat daw, palaban ako at ako ang humahalik kay Derek. Mabuti na lang very protective si Derek at alam niyang I was so nervous so he made me feel more comfortable. Maganda yung role ko kasi ako ang may ari ng escort agency where Derek is the manager. Siya mismo, dating escort na na-in love ako so ginawa kong exclusive na lang siya para sa’kin. Ako naman, dating escort girl rin na naging asawa ng isang politician, si Rommel nga.”

Jean is flattered when Derek said she is still super HOT even is she’ll be a golden girl in a couple of years. “Nakaka-flatter siempre. But that’s not the only thing he said, sinabi rin niyang he’s glad to work with me kasi I’m a brilliant actress. Kaya naman after our pool scene, sabi ko talaga sa kanya: Thank you, Derek. You made me feel safe and comfortable with you.”

Derek himself is very appreciative. “Sa dami ng naka-love scene ko, si Ms. Jean lang nagpasalamat sa’kin for being protective of her kaya natutuwa ako,” he says.
