Derek Ramsay Confident That Viewers Will Give Priority To His New Movie, 'The Escort', When It Opens With Two Other Sex Dramas On November 2

WE DON’T KNOW how it happened but three local films, that all belong to the same category of sexy dramas, will be showing simultaneously on November 2: Regal’s “The Escort” starring Derek Ramsay, Lovi Poe, Christopher de Leon and Jean Garcia; BG Productions’ “Siphayo” with Nathalie Hart in a role that won her an international best actress award, supported by Joem Bascon and Luis Alandy; and Director Diane Ventura’s “Mulat” starring Loren Burgos, Ryan Eigenmann and Jake Cuenca in a role that also won him an international best actor award. So which one will you want to watch first?

Derek Ramsay is confident that people will watch “The Escort” first. “Both Lovi and I gave our all in this movie,” he says. “Pareho kami, this is our most daring film so far.”

Didn’t his real life GF Joanne Villablanca get jealous? “She’s very understanding and supportive kaya never siyang nagselos. Never kaming nagkaroon ng tampuhan when it comes to my work. I inform her naman beforehand that I’m doing daring scenes and she knows that when I do this, it’s not really me but the character I play. Pareho kami ni Lovi, there are no real emotions involved, we’re just enacting the roles assigned to us. E, si Lovi, palaban talaga rito. May scenes na we’re supposed to make love doggie style at may touches pa na parang ‘50 Shades of Grey’. She was willing to do it but, out of respect for her, I told her, it’s not you. We talked to our director, Enzo Williams, about it and in the end, siya ang nasunod, we ended up doing the kinky bed scene. Panoorin nyo na lang and tell me kung hindi talagang napaka-bold noong eksena. I’m sure masisiyahan lahat ng manonood nito.”

Derek is actually the titler roler in the film as Xyrus, a male escort who becomes the lover of Jean Garcia, who’s married to Rommel Padilla, a politician. Jean puts up her own escort service and gets Derek as its manager. Derek meets Lovi and wants to get her as one of their escort girls but she rejects the idea. She ends up being a secretary instead and Derek falls in love with her, leading to some deadly complications.
