DINGDONG DANTES turned 36 last August 2 and he got a great birthday gift, a new primetime series tentatively titled “Alyas Robin Hood”, pairing him with no less than two sexy leading ladies: Megan Young and Andrea Torres. Won't his selosa wife get jealous of his sexy partners in this show? Their co-stars are Jaclyn Jose, Sid Lucero and Paolo Contis, directed by Dominic Zapata who helmed the action shows Richard Gutierrez did for GMA-7 before.
The show is said to be inspired by the hit Hollywood series “Arrow” starring Stephen Amell as a vigilante crime fighter. Dingdong will be accused of a murder he didn’t commit, people would think he died in an explosion, then he comes back as a do-gooder who fights reckless criminals. We won’t be surprised if this would be the one GMA would later schedule against “Probinsyano”, after “Encantadia” failed to achieve its expected high ratings. If so, it will then be two action-dramas competing with each other. Let’s see if Dingdong would be the guy who’d succeed in knocking down Coco Martin in the ratings game.
Meantime, Dong’s wife, Marian Rivera, just had her last taping day for her morning talk show. She’ll now have more time to devote to their daughter Letizia who’s now 8 months old and is looking so much more like her dad.
