Diana Zubiri To Give Birth To A Baby Girl Next Month, Gives Touching Performance As A Woman Who Falls In Love With A Priest In 'Iadya Mo Kami'

DIANA ZUBIRI is currently infanticipating. It will be her and husband Andrew Smith’s first child and it’s going to be a baby girl. They have already chosen a name for her and it’s Aliyah Rose. Diana and Andrew were married in May of last year. The baby is due for delivery in July and friends gave Diana a baby shower recently.

Before she got preggers, Diana finished an acclaimed drama about the plight of priests who go astray, BG Productions’ “Iadya Mo Kami (Deliver Us from Evil)”, directed by Mel Chionglo. She plays a boutique owner who falls in love with a young priest, Allen Dizon, and they have an affair

“I get pregnant and have a child, a baby boy,” she says. “But the church authorities transferred Father Greg, the character played by Allen, to a remote mountain town in Benguet para mailayo siya sa amin ng anak niya. Pero I don’t want to give him up at sinundan ko roon si Allen kasama ang baby namin at nagkarelasyon kami uli.”

Allen is put in a dilemma and has to make a choice: will he give up the priesthood for Diana and their baby, or will he stick to his vocation as a shepherd of the flock? His decision will shock Diana, who also gets involved in protecting the killer of the town’s mayor, Ricky Davao. We’ve seen the movie and Diana is very good in that tearful scene where she curses Allen for choosing God over her. “Iadya Mo Kami” is an entry in the World Premieres Filmfest that starts on June 29 in SM North Edsa and SM Megamall. Don’t miss it.
