The Reason Why Lovi Poe Replaces Ellen Adarna As Title-Roler In Regal's 'The Escort' Opposite Derek Ramsay

LOVI POE is happy to be chosen by Regal to play the title role in the provocative sex-drama, “The Escort”, which was originally meant for Ellen Adarna. Yes, Ellen’s loss is Lovi’s definite gain. Sayang for Ellen, kasi it’s a great project. We ask someone from Regal why they replaced Ellen and they said she has become difficult even before the shooting started.

“Pictorial pa lang with Derek, hindi na sinipot,” says our source. “Even when she did ‘You’re Still the One’ with us co-starring Dennis Trillo and Maja Salvador, she gave us headaches na dahil biglang hindi na lang sisipot sa shooting. We were trying to communicate with her manager about ‘The Escort’, but yung manager niya mismo ang nagsabi, sige, palitan nyo na. And so we did.”

Lovi Poe is very thankful that she got the project where she plays the title role of an escort girl who is figures in a complicated love triangle with an older man, played by Christopher de Leon, and a younger man, Derek Ramsay. “I’m so excited to work with both of them,” she says. “I’ve worked with Tito Boyet de Leon before on TV in ‘Beautiful Strangers’, pero siempre, iba ang movie. As for Derek, maraming gustong makatrabaho siya and I’m glad to be given the chance to finally work with him.”

“The Escort” will be directed by Enzo Williams, who directed “Bonifacio, Unang Pangulo” starring Robin Padilla in the Metro Manila Filmfest two years ago. As for Lovi, she has another movie which is already in the can, “Lakambini”, about Gregoria de Jesus, directed by Jeffrey Jeturian and co-starring Paulo Avelino and Rocco Nacino.
