Ellen Adarna Ousted From Regal's 'The Escort' But Now Plays The Female Lead In 'Moonlight Over Baler'

ELLEN ADARNA was eased out of the cast of Regal’s “The Escort” but she’s now the leading lady in the first Metro Manila Filmfest entry introduced to us, “Moonlight over Baler”. How true is the story that Regal replaced her with Lovi Poe because she’s unprofessional and didn’t even show up at the movie’s pictorial?

“I didn’t know about the pictorial,” she says. “No one informed me. I wasn’t being unprofessional. I told them to wait for me bago mag-shoot kasi I underwent an eye procedure at hindi pantay ang mga mata ko. Pero hindi na nila ako nahintay, so heto, narito ako sa ‘Moonlight over Baler’ ni Direk Gil Portes. Bale second movie ko ito sa kanya after ‘Tag-araw na Twinkle’ where I played a drug addict.”

Since she’s under contract with Regal, they might raise a howl of protest over her appearance in “Moonlight Over Baler”. “E, wala naman silang project for me so siguro okay lang gumawa naman ako sa iba,” says Ellen.
