After Jaclyn Jose In Cannes, Jake Cuenca Wins Best Actor In Brazil And Sid Lucero, In Los Angeles


ASIDE FROM Jaclyn Jose, two other local actors also won awards abroad, Jake Cuenca and Sid Lucero. Jake won the best actor award at the 2016 World Cinema Festival Brazil for his performance in the indie film, “Mulat (Awaken)”, a psychological thriller. Directed by Diane Ventura, the film also bagged the Best Narrative Feature award. #mulat #bestactor


Sid currently appears with Jaclyn (they play mother and son) in GMA-7’s hit afternoon drama, “The Millionaire’s Wife”. He, in turn, won his best actor prize at the 19th Los Angeles Comedy Festival for his title role performance in “Toto”, directed by John Paul Su. “Toto,” which was also named Best Foreign Film at the festival, is about a young man who dreams of getting a US visa so he can look for his American dad in the land of milk and honey. Congratulations to both Jake and Sid.
