Gabbi Garcia Of 'Naku, Boss Ko' On Her Bashers And Haters Who Call Her 'Starlet Na Da Who'

GABBI GARCIA stars as Che, a political activist in the political satire, “Naku, Boss Ko”, that stars airing tonight at 10 PM, and she’s also in the cast of the requel (remake and sequel) “Encantadia 2016” as Alena. Some haters on the net bash her and call her as the “starlet na da who” even after she starred in “Let the Love Begin” with Ruru Madrid. What can she say about this?

“I don’t let the haters and the bashers affect me,” she says. “Natural naman yung maraming nang-iinis sa social media and it’s up to you if you’d let them get into you at papatol ka. Ako, ignore na lang. As long as I have the support of GMA-7 who gives me good projects and of my own fans who watch my shows, yun ang mas importante. I just always try to do my best in every project I give me so I’m confident na darating ang araw na hindi na nila ako lalaitin at sasabihang starlet na da who.”

Although “Naku, Boss Ko” is about the coming elections, Gabbi cannot vote yet. “17 pa lang po ako, e. Underage pa. But I’m aware of the important issues about our candidates now. Hopefully, our show will help voters to realize na exercising your right to vote is a serious matter and it’s not a joke to choose kung sino ang mga tamang kandidatong dapat nilang iboto. Kasi kung minsan, ang kino-consider lang is who’s winnable? But this is not a popularity contest lang. Dapat suriin talaga who’s the most qualified to serve before you give him or her your precious vote.”

Won’t current candidates get offended and complain for being spoofed in “Naku, Boss Ko”? “Sabi nga, bato-bato sa langit. Kung tatamaan ka, baka guilty ka. We don’t mention any names naman but we’re sure viewers can identify kung sino ang politicians na tinutukoy ng show.”
