Ina Raymundo As Sexy And Alluring As When She Was Launched In 'Burlesk Queen Ngayon'

INA RAYMUNDO first captured the public’s attention in 1995 when she was 20 years old as the sexy girl in the Sabado Nights TV commercial. She then did a movie entitled “Sabado Nights” and was paired with the late FPJ in “Eseng ng Tondo”. She did other action flicks but she really hit it big when she went very daring in “Burlesk Queen Ngayon” in 1999, which made her a box office star, along with its follow up projects, “Shame” and “Madame X”. She later proved she’s not just a sex symbol but also a good actress in Jeffrey Jeturian’s “Tuhog”, for which she won a best actress award in her role as an incest victim.

She quit showbiz for a while when she got married and stayed abroad but she returned doing TV work later. One thing with Ina is that she certainly doesn’t look her age and she also doesn’t like the mother of five kids. She even posed sexily for FHM last November and those who saw her photos think she can give young actresses a run for their money.

In her batch of 90s sexpots, she’s the only one who remains very active. The others like Priscilla Almeda, Klaudia Koronel, Aya Medel, Rita Magdalena, Izza Ignacio, Ynez Veneracion, Joyce Jimenez, Nini Jacinto, Hazel Espinosa, Amanda Page, and even Rosanna Roces, are no longer that visible. She now plays villain to Andrea Torres in “The Millionaire’s Wife”. It’s good her Canadian husband, Brian Poturnak, allows her to continue her acting career.

“It’s my choice na magpatuloy sa pag-arte kasi I really want to act, I enjoy being an actress, and I’m glad supportive naman siya,” she says. “I’m also happy to be working kasi my kids are proud of me na nakikita nilang nagtatrabaho ang mommy nila.”

She finds her role in “The Millionaire’s Wife” very challenging. “Kasi ang role ko rito, dalagang anak ni Jaclyn Jose, so dapat talaga, magmukha akong bata kasi wala pang anak yung character ko rito. This is my first role na serious and all out contravida ako kasi sa ‘Marimar’, my last show with GMA, may pagka-campy ang pagiging villain ko at naging lovable pa nga. Lolo ko rito si Robert Arevalo at ako ang nagpapatakbo ng businesses ng pamilya namin. When he decides to marry his much younger nurse, si Andrea Torres, siempre against kaming lahat in our family kasi we look at her as a goldigger who’s only after our lolo’s wealth. Abangan nyo when it starts airing on Monday sa GMA Afternoon Prime kasi puro magagaling ang kasama ko rito at tiyak na masisiyahan kayo if you’re looking for a good drama.”
