Liza Soberano & Enrique Gil Will Bring Kilig Moments Anew On Primetime In 'Dolce Amore' That Replaces 'Pangako Sa Iyo'

‘PANGAKO SA IYO’ is ending soon and replacing the KathNiel soap is one headed by the LizQuen love team, “Dolce Amore”, which has scenes filmed on location in Italy. Liza Soberano plays Serena, a young lady who grew up in Italy with her foster parents. She has a comfortable life in Italy but she wants to know more about the origins of her identity so she goes to the Philippines, a country she has heard so much about from her Pinay nanny, in search of a missing part of herself.

She then meets Enrique Gil as Tenten, a boy who grew up in an orphanage rejected by his real parents. He’s a hardworking ‘raketero’ who taken on all kinds of odd jobs to help his adoptive family.

“It’s a project viewers can relate to as it’s about finding yourself and finding love, which can be so much fun and uplifting,” says Liza.

“It’s a peasant, ako yun, meets a princess, si Liza yun, kind of story,” says Quen. “Just like our last show, ‘Forevermore’, it’s a light teleserye and with plenty of kilig moments.”

Is there pressure that they should duplicate the huge success of “Forevermore” and their last movie, “Everyday I Love You”? “Siempre, may pressure,” says Liza. “But we’re confident that with the help of our co-stars na puro magagaling, we will be able to capture the hearts of viewers again in ‘Dolce Amore’, which is Italian for ‘Sweet Love’.”

Also in the cast are Matteo Guidicelli as Liza’s best friend in Italy, Giancarlo, who’s secretly in love with her; Cherie Gil and Ruben Maria Soriquez as her Italian foster parents; and Edgar Mortiz, Rio Locsin and Kean Cipriano as members of Enrique’s happy adoptive family.

“Kinabahan ako at first kay Ms. Cherie Gil kasi we know she’s a sobrang good actress,” says Liza. “Our lines are in Italian so I really studied and memorized all my Italian dialogue to make sure hindi ako mapahiya sa kanya. I reallly love working with the veterans actors we have in the show as I learn a lot from them.”
